Apple has announced the launch of the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air laptops, both powered by the latest M3 chip, with preorders starting today and shipping set to begin on Friday, March 8th, starting at $1,099 and $1,299, respectively. The M3-powered MacBook Air models are touted to be up to 60 percent faster than their now-discontinued M1 predecessors, featuring an improved 16-core Neural Engine for optimized AI models, along with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading. Both models come with a Liquid Retina display, up to 500 nits of brightness, MagSafe charging, and two Thunderbolt ports. Additionally, they offer enhanced future-proofing with support for Wi-Fi 6E and a 6GHz band, available in four colors including a new fingerprint-resistant midnight color. The laptops also support up to two external displays and offer various storage and RAM configurations for preorder from Apple and other retailers.
