Dell Technologies has launched a new PowerEdge server lineup in collaboration with AMD. These servers have set world records in benchmark tests while offering customers more cores and improved performance. Varun Chhabra, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing at Dell, explained the background of the new servers, stating, "Customers want to deploy AI faster and quickly realize its value." The new server lineup includes the 4U PowerEdge XE7745, dual-socket R6725 and R7725, and single-socket R6715 and R7715. These servers deliver higher computing performance with less power consumption, with one model reportedly achieving the performance of seven servers from five years ago while using 65% less power. Equipped with AMD EPYC processors, these servers support up to 50% more cores and 37% improved performance per core. They have also demonstrated outstanding performance by ranking first in VMMArk4 and TCPx-AI benchmarks. With this release, Dell aims to address power consumption issues in AI data centers while improving customers' AI deployment and operational efficiency.
