With the iPhone 16 launch just weeks away, Apple is diversifying its manufacturing plans for this year. According to a new report, Apple will first produce its most popular product, the Pro model, in India, a move seen as a step to reduce the company's dependence on China. Initial quantities of the iPhone 16 Pro model are scheduled to be produced in China, but production in India is expected to start soon and take charge of future volumes. Last year, Apple produced the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus in India, but the more popular Pro models were assembled elsewhere. Apple still plans to produce the majority of flagship models of the iPhone 16 in China, but this move is seen as an important step toward reducing dependence on China.
