During the 28th week of 2024 (July 8-14), the number of registered electric vehicles (NEV) in China increased significantly. In order of sales, BYD recorded 61,800 units, followed by Tesla with 11,400 units, Nio with 3,400 units, and Xiaomi with 2,300 units. The second week of July saw an increase in sales for most manufacturers. Tesla's sales increased 75% compared to the previous week, and BYD's increased 5%. On the other hand, Nio and Xiaomi each decreased by 35%. The overall NEV market rose 8.8%. Week 28 of 2024 showed significant changes compared to the same period last year (July 10-16, 2023). A total of 186,000 NEVs were registered, accounting for 51% of the market share, a 35% increase over the previous year. Internal combustion engine vehicle registrations decreased by 27% compared to the previous year.
