The feature will allow users to record themselves humming or singing the melody of a song and YouTube Music will identify the song. In August, YouTube experimented with the feature for a select group of users, then rolled it out to the YouTube app for Android smartphones in October, and now it's expected to make its way to the YouTube Music app. A post on Reddit by a user confirmed that the feature has been enabled on the iOS version of the YouTube Music app, with screenshots showing a new song search button next to the search bar and microphone icon. YouTube Music's humming search feature is expected to provide users with a more convenient and enjoyable music experience than the existing song search feature.
