Baidu has begun publicly testing its Apollo Go robotaxi mobile platform in Shanghai, marking the company’s continued expansion of its footprint in China, saying its robotaxis have achieved Level 4 capabilities, but a human safety operator will be present during all rides, which are open to the public.
