Tesla has reduced the price of its 'Full Self-Driving (FSD) Capability' in the US and Canada. It now costs $8,000 in the US and $11,000 in Canada to add the FSD feature, down from the previous prices of $12,000 and $16,000 CAD, respectively. Tesla has also discontinued the $6,000 'Enhanced Autopilot' option, with current owners of this package being able to upgrade to FSD for $2,000. Tesla's driver assistance features have long been under scrutiny from regulators, and despite its name, FSD is not meant to fully replace human drivers at this stage. This price drop comes just days after Tesla lowered the monthly subscription cost for FSD from $199 to $99. Tesla also cut the starting prices of its Model Y, X, and S vehicles by $2,000 each over the weekend.
