Bluesky is an invite-only app that borrows heavily from Twitter's features. The app is now available in closed beta on the App Store. Bluesky was started in 2019 as a Twitter-funded side project by CEO Jack Dorsey. Dorsey saw it as a more open alternative to an increasingly centralized Twitter.
