Data analytics company Palantir announced a partnership with Microsoft to provide AI services to the classified networks of U.S. defense and intelligence agencies. The focus of this partnership is to provide integrated technology to operationalize Microsoft's Azure OpenAI service within Palantir's AI Platform (AIP). Palantir is a company that supports government and corporate surveillance by analyzing vast amounts of data and is collaborating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), several police departments, and the pharmaceutical company Sanofi. Palantir is also playing an important role in the Ukraine war. Although Palantir recorded its first full-year profit in 2023, the AI boom is fueling a rapidly growing commercial segment, with most of its revenue coming from government contracts. Palantir stated that it has ruled out cooperation with the Chinese Communist Party.
