The Delta variant seems to be to blame, with 70% of the 125 new infections recorded on Monday being caused by Delta variant, which represents around 40% of Israel's coronavirus cases over the last four weeks. The health ministry reported that one-third of those new infections were among vaccinated individuals, and half were among children.
