Volkswagen is investing €35bn in its ambition to become the world’s largest electric auto-maker by 2025. The company is also investing €800m in what it calls ‘the most advanced research and development centre in Europe’ The manufacturing plant will begin in the spring of 2023, and when complete in 2026 it will produce the Trinity, the concept car that will become its main EV offering.
