Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world's largest cloud provider, has committed $2.3 billion to AI startups to advance generative AI applications. Matt Wood, Vice President of Artificial Intelligence Products at AWS, stated, "Through this new initiative, we will provide startups with the foundation they need to create and expand world-class businesses, helping new AI applications impact all facets of how the world learns, connects, and conducts business." Startups can utilize AWS credits to access AWS computing, storage, and database technologies, as well as AWS' AI-optimized Trainium and Inferentia2 chips. Credits available on Amazon SageMaker assist startups in building and training their own AI foundational models, and through Amazon Bedrock, they can develop generative AI applications easily and securely.
