Reports emerged on social media that a number of affected Z690 Hero motherboards were burning and producing smoke after normal use. The Z690Hero is a high-end motherboard for use within powerful gaming laptops. The majority of those affected have reported seeing a Bios warning code of 53 on screen, which indicates a memory initialisation failure.

El Salvador is set to issue $1 billion in Bitcoin bonds this year. Half of the bonds will be converted to Bitcoin, the other half used for infrastructure and mining. The government hopes the bonds can help build a Bitcoin-friendly enclave. El Salvador last year became the first country in the world to make Bitcoin legal tender.

Intel has unveiled 28 new 12th-generation Intel Core mobile processors. The processors are aimed at enterprises and consumers. Intel also announced new 35- and 65-watt processors for desktop and vPro platforms. The new processors are 40% faster than previous generations, Intel says.
Samsung announced the new Galaxy S21 Fan Edition 5G, or FE, which is a slightly cheaper and downgraded version of last year’s flagship, with the same hole-punch selfie cam in the top center of the display and its three cameras lined up in a traffic light-style pattern on the back.
