Robinhood plans to start a cryptocurrency wallet next month, allowing you to send and receive digital currencies, as well as trading them and moving them off the app. The company plans to trial the feature with a small number of users first before expanding availability to more people gradually. Chinese TikTok users under 14 are having their time on the platform limited to just 40 minutes a day, in China's latest move to curb online addiction for younger Chinese users. The restriction is being rolled out in the form of a "youth mode," which automatically sorts all registered users under14 into a different user category.
F5 is buying Threat Stack for $68 million as it is looking to bolster its cloud security portfolio. The deal comes months after F5 bought Volterra for $500 million. The startup specializes in cloud security for applications and provides real-time threat detection for cloud infrastructure and workloads.
Twitter is proposing an $809.5 million settlement for a 2016 securities class action lawsuit that alleged the company misled investors about its user engagement figures. The lawsuit alleged that Twitter provided misleading information to investors about growth metrics to make the company appear financially healthier than it was. Twitter said it expects to use cash on hand to pay the settlement amount in its fourth quarter.
