The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has given final approval to an exchange-traded fund (ETF) holding Ethereum (ETH). This makes it easier for U.S. investors to trade Ethereum. The issuers have received approval for their latest S-1 filings, and the funds could begin trading as early as Tuesday. This decision follows a multi-year approval process and comes after the approval of the Bitcoin (BTC) ETF in January. Packaging ether in the form of an ETF allows existing investors to easily trade it through traditional securities accounts. Bitcoin ETFs have already attracted billions of dollars in investment. In recent weeks, the SEC has begun contacting prospective ETF issuers and proceeding with the approval process. On May 23, an important application was approved, paving the way for full approval.
